Apprentice Falconry course:

• This course is 2 days ( weekend, 16 hours total) for beginners who wants to acquire their first bird of prey rapidly.
• In order to optimize individual instruction and experience, a maximum of 5 students are admitted.

-Birds of Falconry
-Anatomy of a Bird
-Biology of Raptors
-Raptor Diseases
-Preventative Trauma
-Nutrition & Care
-Aviaries & shelters
-Training
-Reading literatures
-Food sources
-Falconry Furniture
-Regulations
-Ethics of Falconry

-Handling & putting on equipment.

-Training; from the capture of a bird to free flight.

-Each student is assigned a bird of prey to train.

-Techniques for Falconry and Hawking are covered.

-Hunting of captive or wild game (subject to regulations).

-We supply all equipment required for the course.

The cost is: ($400.00 CAD, plus taxes)

• After the course is successfully completed a diploma and course statement from QFC Inc. will be issued for falconry provincial licence by the Ministère des Ressources naturelles Faune Québec (MRNF).
